The weekend is approaching and the tournament plan is almost ready.

28 teams are playing the men’s tournament in six pools on Saturday. The 9 best teams will qualify for the Cup tournament, 10 next best for the Plate and the last 9 teams for the Bowl tournament.

Based on last years’ performances, as well as team ambitions, the following teams have been seeded for the draw:

Vänersborg RK, has always been a top teams at Scandinavian Sevens and has won twice. Last year they lost the final to Stockholm Exiles.
The hosts RK Speed reached the semi final last year. Speed has won the tournament once.
Nanok Sevens, an invitational team related to CSR/Nanok, played for the first time last year and reached the cup, but also lost to Stockholm Exiles.
Frederiksberg RK also reached last year’s cup tournament where they were eliminated by Speed. They have won one cup final.
English Honeybunn’s has been playing in Copenhagen since 2009 and has reached the Cup tournament at every appearance. They have reached the final once.
NRV 7s represents the Niedersächsischer Rugby Verband in Germany.
Utmanarna (Swedish for Challengers) is fielded by the Swedish Rugby Union.
TabuSoro Warriors is based on Fijians in the Norway. TabuSoro is Fijian for “Never Surrender”.
Finally, Polish Kaskada Szczecin also have ambitions of reaching the final stages.
