19 teams are registered for the women’s tournament. On Saturday they will play in four pools for qualifying to the Sunday tournaments. The 6 best teams will qualify for the Cup tournament, 7 next best for the Plate and the last 6 teams for the Bowl tournament.

 

The following teams have been seeded for the draw and may be some to watch out for:

 

TabuSoro Angels with a Fijian/Norwegian basis has been coming to Copenhagen the last three years and won the tournament in 2014. They won the final last year against Swedish West Coast Vikings. The West Coast Vikings won in 2013 and have been in the cup final since they first came in 2012.
The most successful women’s team, Susies Valkyries, have been playing since 2007 and have won four times. They have only missed to reach the final in 2014.

FAB7 is representing the Finnish Rugby Union. Finland is very successful in European Rugby 7s and has qualified for the A Division. Finland played in the Olympic repechage, just like the Danish ladies, who won their match against Finland at this event. The Danish ladies will also play in Copenhagen.

Stockholm Exiles’ men won the cup tournament in 2014. This year the ladies will be playing and try to repeat the success.
